L5 LED Headlight
We have been working on many headlight designs in the last few years. We have the designs perfected and will now start rolling them out.
The first line out will be what we are calling the DCM L5 LED Headlight Ring. Its a piece of beautiful T6 6061 billet aluminum carved down to a two part headlight assembly.
It is designed to house almost all of the 5.75" headlights you find on the market. Depending on what design LED lamp is used a different adapter ring is needed. To simplify the process for now we are offering the headlight as a complete kit with a choice of 2 different LED lamps. They are similar but one is slightly brighter and looks a bit different. Also one uses Osram LED's and the other uses CREE LED's, both are top of the market LED manufacturers.
These lights are made beautifully and really light up the night. We will be posting pictures of the difference between a stock H4 lamp and what you see with these LED lamps. The difference is shocking.
The headlight surround can mounted to the bike by three different methods. It has M10 mounts for either the typical Fork Ear mounts, and it also has a lower M10 mount for bottom mount if you want to keep those forks clean and clear. The other option is 9 different mounting points on the back of the light housing that can be used for a custom mounting location for the ultimate custom look.
We have also paired our micro turn signals with this headlight and they work awesome. The turn signals can be mounted in the sides with some thread adapters and gives the installation a super clean functional look.
We have primarily made these with a Black powder coated finish for a tough finish to deal with all the rocks, sand and bugs the front headlight will inevitably see. The powder coat finish can also be sanded and painted if anyone wants to venture down the custom road and make it their own. Also we made a limited number of these in a milled finish. Its raw aluminum and looks pretty fantastic. Its a seriously custom look that will catch eyes if that's what you are going for.
At any rate these are now available on the website dcmotive.com and will make your custom bike look pretty unique.
